Zoë Buckman has been expressing herself through her artwork and sculptures on these subjects long before 2020 came to light the numerous challenges our society has with race, gender, and sexuality.

Founded in 2013 by eco-friendly cosmetic creator, Giroflee Ash, BUTR is the center for artisanal, custom-made cosmetics from soaps to shampoos to conditioners.

When I sat down to talk with Stephanie earlier in the week, she summed up what makes Her Studio different with this simple statement: “It comes down to the people, creating a vibe, an environment where people can be expressive. Really just creating a team where everyone’s voices are included.”

I genuinely have an eye for meeting up with the right people, the most innovative creatives as much as the most insightful professionals. I was not wrong. She’s dope!

Jeans now seem to be harkening back to the early aughts, but with plenty of eclectic fashion always on designer’s radars it seems that no style is truly off-limits (except for maybe the skinny jean, but we all know that will change in a season or two!)

The enduring and classic looks of Monroe might be considered to be vintage now, however, the fact that she always took the time to dress for how she wanted to appear is something that we can all learn from.

“We try to have a really good balance between really special pieces that may be priced a little higher and might be rarer, but we want it to be as accessible as possible so we can still remain a business and bring people the good stuff.”

Honestly, what caught my eye on @dje_ldn’s account is how many dark-skinned clients she posts. A lot of nail accounts aren’t as diverse and I love that this one is!
